Dr. Hema Vaithianathan is a Consultant with extensive experience in the field of Reproductive Medicine. She completed her MBBS, MD (Obstetrics & Gynecology from Madras Medical College, Chennai. She has also completed a fellowship in Reproductive Medicine from SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai.
Dr. Hema is a lifetime member of the Indian Medical Association and a member of many OBGYN and fertility societies like the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists – the United Kingdom, The American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Indian Fertility Society, and the Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction. To further add to her expertise, she has also been trained in Advanced Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy at Paul’s Hospital, Kerala. She has done Clinical Attachment in Maternity Department from Russells Hall Hospital, United Kingdom. Additionally, she has completed a certificate course in Embryology from the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
Furthermore, she has published a few theses and has given various poster presentations as the author at conferences held by ESHRE, ASRM and other esteemed associations. Her field of interest lies in Reproductive Endocrinology, Recurrent Implantation Failure, Fetomaternal Medicine, high-risk obstetrics, Cancer Screening in women, and minimal access surgery. Dr. Hema’s passion and transparent attitude has helped many couples overcome the challenges of infertility with much ease.
