Formerly Professor and HOD at Stanley Medical College. Worked 20 years in a specialized centre for hand and microsurgery and plastic surgery and performed all types of surgeries on injured hand including bilateral hand replantation. Created separate speciality for HAND by the inclusion of the subject Hand and Microsurgery in PG Medical Education Regulations 2000 of MCI and enabled PG Higher speciality course in MCh – Hand and Microsurgery to be initiated in India – first of its kind in India. Chief Faculty and coordinator and organized the first ever Statewide Training Program to Promote Awareness On Hand Injury for Secondary and Primary level health care personnel get funded under NRHM innovative programme.
