Dr. Priyadarshini Arunakumar is a trained pediatric cardiologist with interests in pediatric cardiac interventions and fetal echocardiography. She has done her MD in Pediatrics from AIIMS, New Delhi,followed by DM (Cardiology) from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum from where she also did her post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Priyadarshini has also done a short training course in pediatric cardiac interventions from Bangkok, apart from Observership in Fetal Echocardiography from Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Sanford Health, California.

Dr. Priyadarshini besides her accellent academic background has a wide exposure and hands on training in coronary and pediatric cardiac procedures. Some of her achievements so far:

• Assisted complex and multi-vessel coronary angioplasties.
• Performed > 300 transcatheter pediatric procedures (devices and catheterization) as the first operator.
• Assisted 2 cases of percurtaneous pulmonary valve replacements.
• Performed > 150 transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Performed > 15 balloon atrial septostomies as primary operator
• Other procedures – Balloon aortic and pulmonary valvotomy, ductal stenting, Coarctation stenting, MAPCA closure.
• Extensive experience with pediatric echocardiograms, numbering 25-30 per day in the current centre.

She also has to her credit published articles and research papers in medical Journals, has participated and won accolades for her presentations at national and international conferences.
