Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam Sarker, Associate Professor & Head of Department, Dept. of Hepatology, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College, completed his MBBS from Chittagong Medical College on 1998.
He joined at Govt. service as a health cadre of 21st BCS. He worked as Assistant Registrar at Sylhet M.A.G Osmani Medical College for 02 years. He completed MD, Hepatology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on the year 2010.
He joined as Assistant Professor on November 2013 and promoted as Associate Professor on 2017. He served as Head of Dept, Hepatolgy, Rajshahi Medical College for 1 ½ years and now serving as Head Of Department, Hepatology at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College.
Throughout his professional period he joined a lots of seminar, symposium & conferences both at home and abroad and presented scientific papers and researches on liver diseases. He is an honorable member of APASL (Asia Pacific Association for The Study of the Liver) and INASL (Indian National Association for the Study of the Liver). He is serving as publication secretary of ASLDB (Association for the Study of Liver Disease, Bangladesh). He has many national and International publications as well.
He has an excellent teaching capability and professional hand on Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, and all kinds of endoscopic procedures, Liver Biopsy, FNAC and ERCP. He has a good skill to communicate people and sympathetic view to serve people.
