Prof. Dr. ASM Alamgir Chowdhury Completed his Graduation (MBBS) From Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Barisal on January 1987.

He Started his professional career as Medical officer in BAVS Hospital, Jessore on 1988 and after qualifying B.C.S. Health he started Government service as assistant surgeon in different Upz. Health Complex in January 1991. Prof. Alamgir started his academic career as lecturer anatomy in Faridpur Medical College, Faridpur on October 1992. He received post-graduate training in pediatric surgery as assistant register in I.P.G.M.R, Dhaka and Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Barisal and after receiving extensive post-graduate training he completed masters of surgery degree in pediatric surgery from I.P.G.M.R, Dhaka on July 1999.

Prof. Alamgir Chowdhury obtained Advanced Clinical Embryology training in Hope Infertility Management Hospital Bangalore,India.

After completion of post graduation he worked as consultant pediatric surgery in Dhaka Mohanagor Shishu Hospital, Dhaka city corporation, Dhaka from july 2000 to march 2010.He started his teaching career as Assistant Professor ,Dept. Of pediatric surgery Sir Soli-Mullah Medical College, Dhaka on march 2010 and on September 2012 got promotion as Associate Professor in same institute. On October 2016 he promoted as Professor of pediatric surgery in Shaheed Suhrawardi Medical College, Dhaka.

Prof. Alamgir Is Serving For Humanity As Pediatric Surgeon.

He is a devoted teacher and involved in teaching of both under graduate and post graduate students. He has 15 publications. Prof. Alamgir is a life member of APSB and SOSB.
