Dr. Bipin S. Walia is a highly distinguished and experienced neurosurgeon in India, with over 30 years of expertise, particularly in spine surgeries. He is one of the few neurosurgeons in the country with specialized training and extensive experience in this field.
Dr. Walia completed his MBBS and Master of Surgery (MS) from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, and pursued an MCh in Neurosurgery from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He further honed his skills in spine surgery through advanced training at renowned institutions, including the University of Erlangen in Germany, the Medical Education and Research Institute in Texas, USA, and the University of Mainz, Germany. He also completed a neurosurgery course at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, Australia.
With over 4,000 spine surgeries to his credit, Dr. Walia is recognized for his expertise in disc replacement surgery, minimally invasive spinal techniques, endoscopic cranial surgery, neuro-oncology, and image-guided surgery. He holds a respected position in the medical fraternity.
Dr. Walia is an active member of several esteemed organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (FACNS), and the North American Associations of Spinal Surgeons. He also serves as an executive committee member for AO Spine and is part of the Faculty of the Spinal Science Advancement Foundation and the Musculo-Skeletal Research Institute.
